Trip-Z Art FAQ
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is strongly recommended. Visit the "Calendar" page to find a date that works and then click on it and follow the directions for on-line registration. You can always email or call us to see if we have space available up to three hours prior to the scheduled class start time.
Cost of a Trip-Z Art event?
$35.00 per person. Please refer to the "Calendar" tab of our website for specific event days and paintings. We offer a range of events, so check our website for further details.
What is included in the price?
We provide the 16 x 20 canvas, acrylic paint in a variety of colors, use of brushes, easels and aprons, and step by step instructions by an experienced artist for the featured painting. You'll go home with a painting, fun memories and perhaps a new found talent or passion! Kids classes and events may have different canvas size and price.
What is your cancellation policy?
There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows. Cancellations and No-shows will not be re-scheduled.
Can I bring my own food and beverage?
Guests are welcome to bring food, snacks and their own beverage. BYOB (beer and wine) for guests 21 years of age and older.
What do I wear?
We provide aprons but recommend wearing paint-friendly clothing just to play it safe! Short sleeves or sleeves you can roll up will help keep cuffs out of the paint.
Where are you located?
Our studio is located inside the Grow DeSoto Market Place building at 324 E. Belt Line Road, Suite 706, DeSoto, TX 75115.

What time do I need to arrive for an event?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to select a seat and get your apron.
How long is an event?
Events last about 2 hours, depending on the complexity of the painting.
Do I have to paint the featured painting of the event?
Yes, however, you can change the style or colors to reflect your own personal style and creativity.
What if I come with my significant other and we don't want two of the exact same painting?
Many couples choose to both paint the featured painting with one person inverting the image, or painting in a different color palette. This creates two unique canvases that can be hung side by side.
Can we host a private party at Trip-Z Art?
Yes! Contact us for details on hosting your next birthday party, bachelorette party, staff retreats, team building, field trips, or family reunions. We offer a range of different events.
Can my child come with me to paint?
Not to our BYOB classes, but we have specific classes for young artists for ages 6 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. If children younger than 6 years old are brought into the studio for any reason, we ask that you keep them with you. The child's parent or guardian assumes all responsibility for liability and risks, as our paint studio which has concrete floors are not child-proofed for small children.
